DELUOLE15 - QMplus for Support Staff

Suitable for those who work in an administrative role supporting academic modules or programmes using QMplus. Your department should be in the process of transitioning to the new Online Learning Environment for September 2012.

Please note that this workshop is not suitable for module convenors or postgraduate teaching or research assistants.

This session will introduce QMplus, the College's new Online Learning Environment and ready participants for its use in 2012. We will look closely at its functionality, particularly highlighting how it can be used to support administrative procedures in academic departments.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Login to QMplus and find their own course area
  • Edit a course page, specifically: Upload files, Add URLs, Add a label
  • Recognise the different roles in QMplus including how the Course Admin role works at category level
  • Enrol users onto somebody else’s course area
  • Send announcements
  • Add events
  • Administer groups
  • Create Assignments for Submission (using Submission Manager or Advanced Uploading of files)
  • Navigate the Gradebook
  • Run Participation Reports
