RS017 - The Aspiring Leader – Communicating With Your Teams

"Audience: postdoctoral and early-career researchers*

This workshop will examine some core principles of communication to help you to build a toolkit of communication techniques and strategies. It will start by examining your own preferences and then will move into helping you to develop an empathic understanding of which strategies might be more helpful with different types of individuals. We will then develop these ideas and apply them to practical situations from an academic and collaborative environment.

keywords: MBTI, Transactional Analysis, effective communications, effective feedback, inter-personal skills

*PhD students will generally not be admitted to this workshop without prior approval. Contact Dr Rui Martins (r.p.martins@qmul.ac.uk) to make your case for attending if you think you might benefit from this workshop."
