Recruitment agencies are very widely used by employers in pharma/life sciences. They often have a very deep knowledge of the sector and employer requirements. They can be a great asset in your job hunt but you need to know how to approach and collaborate with them mindfully so that everyone achieves their goals.

This event, in partnership with the Life Sciences Initiative will give researchers (PhDs and ECRs) insider tips and tricks about job hunting with agencies as well as labour market information from life sciences experts. The LSI are kindly sponsoring networking drinks after the talks.

Our speakers are:
Andrew Wise, Managing Consultant, Blue Pelican Pharma
Andrew has 15 years of life sciences recruitment experience and was winner of the 2011 PharmaTimes Recruiter of the Year Award.

Priya Mukherjee, Principal Consultant, SEC Recruitment
Priya has worked in Biometrics, CRO and Pharmaceutical recruitment for 11 years

The key aims of the event are:
• Understand how recruiters work with employers so that researchers can collaborate effectively with them to find great positions
• Understand key skills which life sciences/pharma are recruiting for to enhance researchers’ personal profiles and job hunting strategy
• Pick up valuable labour market information for UK pharma/life sciences positions
• Understand how to work with UK agencies as an international researcher
