RC019 - How to make your CV and job applications stand out (roles beyond academia)

It may have been a while since you last wrote a CV or an application for a job outside of academic research. This workshop explores how to identify and articulate the skills that you have developed during your PhD and put them together on an application, in a way that is meaningful to a broad range of employers.
This workshop will:
• Look at a how industry recruiters select and shortlist applicants
• Using CV examples, illustrate how to use your academic experience to evidence skills on an 'industry' CV
• Provide the opportunity for participants to have the 'industry' CV reviewed
This workshop is relevant for PhDs and ECRs of all disciplines.
