HS016 - Fire Marshal Training

A 5 hour course intended for staff nominated by Duty Holders, to undertake the role of Fire Marshal within areas under their control. The course also applies to existing Fire Marshals requiring refresher training after two years in role:


By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • At the end of the course participant will understand:
  • The nature of fire and facing the fire.
  • Basic risk assessment and role of the fire marshal.
  • Common Fire hazards.
  • Extinguishing the Fire (practical)

A refresher course must be undertaken every two years.
