HS044 - Adult Mental Health Aware Half Day

This course is an introductory four hour session to raise awareness of mental health.

Please bring your own refreshments. There will be a 30mn break for lunch but lunch is NOT provided so you may want to bring your own lunch or there are close facilities near by where you can buy food.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Define mental health and some mental health issues
  • Understand factors that affect mental health
  • Identify the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues
  • Understand how to look after your own mental health
  • Feel more confident about starting mental health conversations
  • Signposting for further help and support - at QMUL and outside QMUL
