PD142 - Speed Reading for Professional Services Staff

This course will give you ideas for improving the effectiveness of your reading habits (in any language). It invites you to think about what is meant by “reading” and to develop your own strategies for tackling your reading load. The course is enjoyable and challenging.

This half day course is suitable for: Professional Services, Support & Academic staff

1. Participants must bring to the workshop a textbook and/or paper to use for some of the reading exercises.
2. You may wish to also consider booking the Mindmapping for Professional Services Staff (PD139) which is closely related and takes place on the same day - please search for PD139 and make a booking.

[PhD students please note that this course is intended for members of staff working at the university and does not accrue points towards your PhD’s professional development scheme. It is therefore not generally recommended for PhD Students.

If there is a particular reason that you want to attend the session, e.g. if you are also employed as a member of college staff whilst studying and require the session to support you in your work, please email to explain to us your reason for needing to attend. If not, we shall cancel your booking.]
