PD216 - Women Into Leadership (Expression of Interest List only)

This is an Expression of Interest list only and booking will not constitute an offer of a course place. Please read these details carefully and we will contact you to see if this course would be suitable for you.

This development course is responding to the recognition that conversion/promotion rates among female members of academic staff at QMUL could be improved, in particular among women looking to move into higher grade management and leadership roles.

Our aims are to address this by exploring how best to equip participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to move into roles commensurate with their ability. The programme is for staff only and will look at leadership and management skills in general but apply these to the specific needs of women in higher education.

This course:
-> consists of 9 hours training over 3 days. Participants are expected to commit to every session.
-> is only for female members of staff and not offered to PHD students.
-> will divide participants into working groups according to prior experience.
-> requires active participation in group work throughout, including a presentation task that will require preparation in your own time.
-> may not be suitable for all roles and is mainly focussed on progression within management roles.
-> is sometimes oversubscribed.
Provisional dates for the next course will be:
Session 1: Wed 10/04/2019, Mile End 10:00-13:00
