PD198 - ILM Level 3 Award (Spring Term): Expression of Interest only

Please note: this is NOT an offer of a course place and the course will not start on the date given (31 October). Adding your name via a booking will add you to an expression of interest list for the new cohort that will be set up to start in early 2020. This course will only run once in this academic year. The Level 3 Award is the current ilm provision run at Queen Mary (currently no provision at levels 2 or 5)

Details:
QMUL's Professional Development department offers the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 3 Award (ilm) to staff members with managerial responsibilities. The qualifications are awarded on the basis of a combination of taught hours and written coursework in the form of three assignments.

The courses are open to those in Academic and Professional Services roles. We are unable to offer these courses to students without a staffing role at QMUL at any level.

The Level 3 Award will be delivered in 6-8 monthly sessions and should be possible to complete by the end of the academic year (depending on the time taken to pass the written component). All sessions are half days at 3 hours, giving 6 hours of tuition and 1 assignment per module. The awarding body adds a time limit (usually c. 12 months) for the latest dates you will be able to submit assignments for the current version of the qualification.

We will offer approximately 15 course places and one of our tutors will meet you before you go through to enrollment to discuss eligibility for the course. Your manager must support you by releasing you for the course dates. There is no cost to your department provided that you complete the whole course; in the case of non-attendance once enrolled, we would consider charging for your place.

Please use the 'book' button to register your interest and we will contact you.

Please see https://www.i-l-m.com/ for more specific details of these accredited qualifications and the list of modules from which 3 will be offered.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • To contact those signing up with further information before the start of the course in late January 2019
