RS420 - Hands on engagement: taking research to events and festivals

Whatever your experience with public engagement, festivals, pop-up stalls, and museum late events provide a great opportunity to reach curious audiences. These events present many ready-made opportunities to engage with adult and family audiences in a relaxed environment.
With audiences often visiting your activity for a few minutes at a time, it's important to think creatively about designing your activities, ensuring a fun, engaging time for all, whilst meeting your activity aims. This training will cover some of the best ways to engage these drop-in audiences, as well as covering the benefits and challenges of taking part in these events.
