HS044 - Become Mental Health Aware - MHFA England

This course is an introductory four hour session to raise awareness of mental health.

Please bring your own refreshments. There will be a 15mn break in the afternoon.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Define mental health and some mental health issues
  • Understand factors that affect mental health
  • Identify the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues
  • Understand how to look after your own mental health
  • Feel more confident about starting mental health conversations
  • Signposting for further help and support - at QMUL and outside QMUL
