RD030 - Stagecraft and Voice for Research Presentations

Audience: PhD Students, Research Staff, Academic Staff

We prepare your research presentations, whether real or practice, with intense voice coaching, storytelling strategies, character work and stage presence.

This session will start with a voice training session and recap of voice practice. Then we use games, improv methods, and breathing techniques to approach anxieties around presentation and unlock your presentation potential. We use storytelling devices to make sure you can do full justice to the presentation of your ideas, and practice putting them together to best dramatic effect. We can work with practice content or a real presentation – anything you want to work on.

Keywords: research presentations, voice coaching, stage techniques
