RD105 - Making the Most of Your First Academic Conference

Audience: Postgraduate Research Students (PhD and MRes) who are likely to attend their first academic conference in the near future.

This workshop aims to make you feel confident about attending and enjoying your first academic conference, by giving you some tips on what to expect and how to plan and get the most out of it. By the end of the workshop you will have thought about what to do before, during and after the conference. You will also be able to use networking skills effectively in order to make contacts and achieve set objectives.
