PD228 (Fully booked: waiting list) - Introducing Inclusion

In response to the Staff Survey and other feedback received, our previous Unconscious Bias session has been replaced by ‘Introducing Inclusion’.

Staff are invited to this three-hour session (apologies, we will not accept bookings from PHD students or students at any level and may verify your staff role to confirm your booking).

This training is broader in scope than Unconscious Bias, and covers:

• How we define equality, diversity and inclusion, and their importance to individuals and the organisation

• Our rights and responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010

• How bias and stereotyping can act as barriers to achieving inclusion

• Action planning – what your can do to create inclusive environments in your teams and department

This course is suitable for staff at all levels, in all roles, and acts as an introduction to the concepts and legislation.

Please note:
Some staff roles will need additional and more complex training which will be made available in the future or delivered bespoke as appropriate.

Tutors for today: James Soderman (Library Services ) Jacqueline Rappoport (Blizard Institute)
