About the workshop

So, you want to write about your research for a popular audience? This course takes you through the process of writing popular science, from conception to completion. It considers your motivation and then how you can make the transition from academic to popular writing by deeply appreciating the viewpoint of the publisher and your general reader. With practical exercises and opportunities for questions and answers, you should finish the session well-informed and hopefully inspired to take the next step into popular writing.
