PD140 (POSTPONED until further notice) - Introduction to Project Management

Suitable for any member of staff who is responsible for running a project (of any size). This introductory course focuses on developing a systematic approach to project planning, the first and most important stage of any project. It examines some of the commonly used approaches to managing projects successfully, with appropriate levels of structure and control.

This course is suitable for: Professional Services, Support & Academic staff. (Apologies, we will not accept bookings from PHD students or students at any level and may verify your staff role to confirm or cancel your booking).


By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Define what a project is
  • Assess the project size
  • Describe the tools and strategies available for running a successful project
  • Apply a systematic approach to their own project plans
  • Apply a systematic approach to their own workplace project plans
