CoR006 - Let's Write! Online Writing Retreats

Please complete this form to give us information about how you would like to use the day.

Audience: All researchers (PhDs and Postdocs)

The RD team will be organising an online writing retreat every 2-3 that will be hosted in Zoom. We will provide you with structured time to focus on your writing, and we'll run short micro-workshops to give you some tips on different kinds of writing and different techniques to try to keep your productivity where you would like it to be. The topics for the micro-workshops will be decided upon using a survey we will send out prior to each session.

This session will be hosted on Zoom. Details will be shared with the registered participants in the lead up the event.

You will need:
(1) You will be prompted to install the Zoom app if you haven't already. This is available on multiple platforms.

(2) A device (e.g. computer, tablet, smartphone) that is enabled to capture audio and video, so that you can interact with the session. This is not optional; you need to at least be able to interact by voice to participate. Video is preferred. Please note that the moderator for the session may periodically mute your microphone during the session just so that everyone can be heard when they are speaking. To contribute to the conversation, please use the ‘raise your hand’ feature.

(3) A stable and strong internet connection. Though 4G signals can in theory support Blackboard Collaborate, but WiFi is preferred (wired/Ethernet is best!)
