PD195 (Online workshop) - Safeguarding Adults at Risk - Awareness

This session will now be delivered in an online format: there will be pre-course work in the form of a Safeguarding Essentials e-learning module in your own time, followed by this 90 minute discussion group.

We will send you a calendar invite in the day/s before the event, with a link to the MS Teams meeting.

This session is designed to enable you to understand what 'Safeguarding' is all about and who might be at risk of harm or abuse.
The session will help you identify the signs and signals that might indicate when an individual is experiencing harm or abuse, and will guide you on what to do about that.

Apologies, we will not accept bookings from PHD students or students at any level and may verify your staff role to confirm or cancel your booking.

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • learn the definition of an 'adult at risk' in the reference terms of safeguarding
  • recognize signs and symptoms that may indicate harm or abuse
  • make contact with appropriate colleagues in order to investigate concerns
