ELUCV02 - Introduction to ABC Learning Design (online)

This session will introduce you to the fundamental concepts of ABC Learning Design which will provide you with a basis to start thinking about how technology can be used in delivering your teaching, either blended or fully online.

ABC Learning Design is a popular approach to designing teaching with a particular emphasis on using technology to support learning. At the core of the approach is thinking about the types of activity that students will be engaged in and where technology might be used to support that.

In this one hour introductory session we will introduce the core learning activity types in the ABC approach and show how you can use these to either design new teaching or re-design existing teaching to incorporate technology. You will also gain an overview of the wide variety of technology available at QMUL to support the different activities.

This is part of a wider initiative around curriculum development being run with the QM Academy.

The E-Learning Unit are running online training sessions for staff to need help to get help with teaching remotely. These sessions are designed to show you the most commonly used functions of the tools, explore how you can use them with students, give you some hands-on practice and have your questions answered, supported by guidance documentation.

All sessions will be delivered online. Please access this session on the following link:
