ELUCV07 - Recording Yourself

With the switch to online teaching reducing the amount of physical face-to-face time you might have with your students, you might be thinking of ways in which you might record yourself. You might do this for a variety of reasons...to replace lectures, explain concepts, provide feedback, create a connection between you and your students or establish your presence in your module.

In this one hour session we will introduce to the various ways you can record yourself using tools that are available to you as a member of staff at QMUL. You'll leave the session able to decide which method will work best for what you want to achieve and to go and create a recording of yourself.

In this session we will cover: Why you might want to record yourself, different types of recording you might make, different tools available to you at QMUL and when you might use each, tips for recording yourself including how to get good sound and how to plan to make your recordings re-usable.

The E-Learning Unit are running online training sessions for staff to need help to get help with teaching remotely. These sessions are designed to show you the most commonly used functions of the tools, explore how you can use them with students, give you some hands-on practice and have your questions answered, supported by guidance documentation.

All sessions will be delivered online. Please access this session on the following link: https://qmplus.qmul.ac.uk/enrol/index.php?id=13361

The link above will direct you to a QMplus area where you can select the session you require (please scroll down the page to find the session you have booked on to).

You will be required to self-enrol on this course the first time you access it.
