PD243 (Waiting list - Online workshop) - Wellbeing for Managers

Managers are required to support wellbeing in the workplace and demonstrate good practice. This workshop will explore the dimensions of wellbeing and issues around work-related stress. We will ask you to bring your own experience of being a manager to openly discuss management responsibilities and standards in accordance with UK workplace health guidelines.

By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:
- Develop an understanding of managers’ responsibilities around wellbeing including stress
- Raise awareness of factors that affect staff wellbeing and recognise the signs to look for when wellbeing might be compromised
- Encourage staff to take personal responsibility for their own wellbeing
- Understand the support available to staff at Queen Mary

This is an interactive online workshop and there will be a short break at half time.

Joining instructions and a Stress Management Questionnaire will be circulated via Outlook calendar approximately 24 hours prior to meeting (as spaces are limited please do not circulate this invitation).
You will need to download and individually complete the Stress Management Questionnaire from the invitation, which should take 10 minutes of your time.

Tutors: Naomi Potter + Laura Dabner

[PhD students please note that this course is intended for members of staff working at the university. Apologies, we will not accept bookings from PHD students or students at any level and may verify your staff role to confirm your booking.]
