PHD-QMA-301 - Writing Your Thesis

AUDIENCE:
Students at later stages of their PhD who are starting to write up their thesis.

NOTE:
This session includes a lunch break of 45 minutes.

PREPARATION:
Have a look at 2-3 doctoral theses from your discipline:
- What is the total length of the thesis?
- How many chapters are there, and what are their respective lengths?

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS:
This workshop will be hosted on Zoom.
You will receive joining instructions via email 2 weeks in advance of the session and again 2 days in advance.

DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will give you a better understanding of the purpose and structure of a PhD thesis and will give you some tools to help you plan your thesis writing. We will also practise and apply techniques to overcome writer’s block.
