RD-RC-009b - Career Options for Roles beyond Academia: Humanities and Social Science PhDs and Postdoctoral Researchers

AUDIENCE:
All researchers (including staff and PhD students)

JOINING INSTRUCTIONS:
This workshop will be hosted online.
You will receive joining instructions via email 2 weeks in advance of the session and again 2 days in advance.

DESCRIPTION:
40-50% of Humanities and Social Science (HSS) PhD graduates are working in roles outside of higher education, 3 years after graduation. It is therefore important to think about the wide range of skills that you have developed as a researcher and think about how they relate to a range of carer options. By the end of this workshop/webinar you will:

- be aware of the career paths outside academia for HSS PhDs and Postdocs
- know how to market yourself and your transferable skills to prospective employers.
