RD-QMA-005 - Speed-reading for Researchers (2-part course)

All researchers (including staff and PhD students)

This workshop will be hosted online.
You will receive joining instructions via email 2 weeks in advance of the session and again 2 days in advance.

Please note that this session takes place over multiple days and you must attend all days.

Structure and duration of workshop:
The workshop is to be run over two consecutive mornings.
The timings are:
Speed Reading Part 1 (Day 1, in the morning):
10.00am - 11.15am (teaching)
11.15am - 11.30am (break)
11.30am - 13.00pm (teaching)

Speed Reading Part 2 (Day 2, in the morning)
10.00am - 11.15am (teaching)
11.15am - 11.30am (break)
11.30am - 13.00pm (teaching)

Course description:
Suitable for postgraduate research students who need to process large quantities of information encountered in different forms (such as research papers, books, articles, and seminar/conference presentations).
The webinar focuses on ways to enhance basic reading skills and develop effective strategies for coping with reading workloads.
The webinar is split into two parts over two days.
Pre-course work will be distributed on registration.
